The Valley by Anthony Brault

Anthony Brault is a French-Canadian concept artist who’s been drawing his entire life, but only started taking it seriously in 2017 while studying Animation at Algonquin College. He’s since grown his skill set greatly beyond his simple beginnings, but Anthony says, “Every now and then I like to go back to 2D techniques, as I did for this painting.” Anthony is currently based in the Montréal area where he works as a concept artist for Gearbox Software.

The Valley is inspired by the French Alps; specifically, it’s based on a real-life rock formation with similar gaps, which artist Anthony Brault tries to push the scale of in order to heighten the sense of fantasy in the environment.
