In summer 2014, Keith Lango, an animation guru from VALVE, joined ANOMALIA 2014, a top training platform for professional CG animation (originated in the Czech Republic), together with 22 professional animators who together created a unique 3D short film. In making the short animated film POUTNIK, the production took a different approach than is typically employed in the world of CG animation. Director & Producer Keith Lango had his personal motivation behind these RND choices, as well as the unique challenges and opportunities that emerged from going down this different road. ANOMALIA, therefore, was organised to give the community of European professionals an opportunity to experience “work and study” project on which each animator became an author of his own shot under Keith’s direction.
