Hungarian director Balázs Simon created this mind-blowing work for the latest track by Leifur James called Wurlitzer.
Balázs found the unique fusion of ambient electronica, jazz and classical in James’ music instantly captivating. They started a conversation about a video touching on the balance between human and environment.
In the video we are the witnesses of a grandiose procreation, but as we see what it takes and how it affects nature, the beauty of it becomes questionable.
“There is an obvious duality in the music. It opens widely and covers a large space, but as it progresses it becomes more and more suffocating – at one point the noise almost erases every other sound. For me, this ambiguity between creation and destruction was the most exciting part, and I wanted to reflect on that both visually and narratively.” said Balázs
